The Xiloteca Trevigiana was established through the project “Acquisition, enhancement and exhibition of the Velo Xylotheque,” curated in 2011 by the Wood and Furniture Group of Confartigianato Marca Trevigiana. On that occasion, the collaboration agreement with the Botanical Garden of the Municipality of Bergamo made it possible to equip the xylotheque with an explanatory didactic apparatus, useful both for the permanent exhibition and for the temporary exhibition held in Bergamo (1 October 2011 – 8 January 2012).

The collaboration continued with the publication of the book Woods from Around the World. The Velo Collection of the Xiloteca Trevigiana, edited by Luigi Gallinaro and Gabriele Rinaldi (2011), 597 pages, Danilo Zanetti Editore.

The book includes the wood data sheets prepared by Federico Mangili, Clara Marchionne, Gabriele Rinaldi and Francesco Zonca of the Bergamo Botanical Garden, updated in 2025 for the portal www.xiloteca.it by Marina Serena Borgatti, Gabriele Rinaldi, Luca Da Ros, Flavio Ruffinatto and Luigi Gallinaro.
