Description
Light yellow in color.
Plant morphology
A shrub or small tree, up to 7-9 m tall, its trunk is covered with grayish-brown bark. The leaves are opposite, glossy, narrow, and elongated. The flowers are red, about 3 cm in diameter, with 3-4 petals (many more in some horticultural varieties). The fruit (pomegranate) is a berry with a leathery rind, round or slightly elongated in shape, with internal compartments that serve as seed carriers for the seeds, up to 600 or more per fruit.

Habitat and ecology
It prefers temperate climates, preferably with a marked dry season and well-drained soils.

Application areas
The wood is very hard but given its small size it is only suitable for small creations, walking sticks and carving work.
