Description
The sapwood is whitish-pink when fresh, gray when dried, and the heartwood ranges from pinkish-brown to darker reddish hues. The texture is coarse, the grain varies, and the density ranges from 0.60 to 0.80. Sawing is difficult due to the large amount of exuding resin. It has good mechanical strength but poor durability.
Plant morphology

It is a tree up to 30 m tall, with a trunk 60 cm in diameter, sparsely branched, and ribbed at the base. The bark is rough and light gray in color. The leaves are compound, alternate, glabrous, and leathery. The flowers are small, white, and clustered in terminal racemes.
